DA9 certifies Bounty, Satra as only halal centers in Zambo

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Oct. 05 (PIA) – The Department of Agriculture (DA)-9 has certified Bounty Agro Venture Inc and Satra Meat Haus as the only halal-certified establishments in Zamboanga City.

 

The DA-9–Halal Food Industry Development Program (HFIDP), together with the Halal Agri- Fishery Development Council of Zamboanga City - Al Risalah Radio Zamboanga, and Addhiya Foundation presented the Certificate of Recognition to BOUNTY AGRO VENTURES INC ZC as the only Halal Certified Dressed Chicken in Zamboanga City, and to the SATRA MEAT HAUS as the First Halal Meat Provider in the city.

 

According to DA9-HFIDP focal person Myra Grace Peñaflor, DA turned over agri-equipment and supply, such as one set of food grade vacuum sealer and one heavy-duty meat grinder, as a support given for operations to both establishments.

To witness the activity, personnel from the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) joined in the ceremony.

 

NMIS-9 and NCMF-9 also committed to support DA in recognizing efforts of Halal compliant establishments to continuously provide clean, permissible and safe food to local communities in Zamboanga City, including consumers of nearby islands of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi (BASULTA).
