DIPOLOG CITY, Zamboanga del Norte, Jan. 20 (PIA) - The province has made a significant leap on the ranks of provinces for the year 2021.
From ranked 48th of year 2020, Zamboanga del Norte province made it to rank 31 in the 2021 Rankings of Provinces based on population and income weighted average of overall scores of its cities and municipalities.
The data, taken from the Cities And Municipalities Competitiveness Index 2021 Rankings, is showing that the province had continuously rise up in ranks since 2018 from its ranking of 67th place and moving to 58th place on 2019.
Governor Roberto Uy attributed the milestone to the public's trust to his office and other stakeholders' support.
In a Facebook post, the Governor said, "dako akong pasalamat sa inyong kahago ug pagtuo sa akong pagserbisyo kaninyo. Kini niresulta ug maayong epekto kanato ug sa atong malambuon nga probinsya. Kita nahimutang sa ika 31 sa mga malabuong probinsya sa tuig 2021".
Zamboanga del Norte has garnered the score of 33.7801 for its 31st rank.
Meanwhile, Zamboanga del Sur ranks 33rd, while Zamboanga Sibugay places 71st in the 2021 Rankings of Provinces.
