PCOO Chief: Public must know of the gov’t initiatives

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Sept. 13 (PIA) -- Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin A. Andanar wanted the public to know of government services and programs that have been realized under President Duterte’s administration.

“More people must know about the free government services they can avail of and we should not let them feel deprived of these free services,” said Secretary Andanar during his interview over a local radio station in Tawi-Tawi today, September 13.

In his report, the secretary highlighted the Malasakit Center which was backed by Senator Bong Go who availed by more than 2 million Filipinos that gives free medical assistance and be hassle-free on processing needed medical documents.

“These information should reach to the farthest island of the country that’s why we never stop on informing the grounds because as much as possible, we want everyone to be beneficiaries of the government free services”, Sec. Andanar said.

Moreover, the secretary also gave an emphasis on President Duterte's accomplishment on peace and order. As per record, more than 18,000 communists’ terrorists have turned back to the government’s fold and 64% of the crime volume has descended.

The PCOO continues to disseminate information and report on the President Duterte’s accomplishments to the grassroots level through the use of the available digital platforms while the current COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over.

Sec. Andanar encouraged Filipinos to help the President on his remaining months in the office on “regaining those jobs loss, encouraging foreign businessmen to invest in our country, and support the health care system of the Philippines.” (EDT/JRA/PIA9-Zamboanga City)
