ZAMBOANGA CITY, Sept 21 (PIA) -- Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin A. Andanar emphasized that anti-drugs campaign of the Duterte administration is relentless, even with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“56,000 Filipinos who were drug dependents before have underwent rehabilitation,” he said during his radio interview over a local radio station in Isabela City de Basilan today, September 22.

“President Duterte has been very persistent in addressing the drug issues that continues to exist for a longer time now,” Sec. Andanar added.

Last 2019, the administration has produced a full-length documentary entitled “Gramo” and published “Saving the Future of a Nation”, a magazine, that covers the anti-illegal drugs campaign of the government.

“Gramo Dos”, a full-length documentary and a sequel to “Gramo” was also created.

“We also made 10 illegal drug-related ads, where we featured drug surrenderees and former drug-addicts,” Sec. Andanar said.

The Secretary also noted that most of the projects that have been implemented by the Duterte administration will all be sustained by the next admin as those were in the country’s General Appropriation Act (GAA).

“The Duterte administration’s people-centered approach in governance has been key in achieving true and real change for the betterment of our nation,” Sec. Andanar disclosed. (RVC/EDT/JRA/PIA9-Zamboanga City)
