PCOO Chief: Duterte Legacy is reporting a responsibility

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Oct. 15 (PIA) - The "Duterte Legacy" campaign made its round in Sulu province telling more of the government's undertakings in improving the lives of Filipinos in the recent years of President Rodrigo Duterte's leadership.

 

Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, in an online interview over DXSM Radyo Pilipinas Jolo, Sulu said Filipinos is entitled to know of the government's initiatives, that made an impact in the lives of many and the policies signed and implemented during the course of President Duterte's term.


 

"Dito masusukat ang tagumpay ng bawat programa ng pamahalaan. Ito ang magpapatunay na may mga pangako ang Pangulo na natutupad," he said.

 

Among the four promises of PRRD, include peace and order, law and order, anti-corruption and poverty alleviation.

 

Secretary Andanar shared under peace and order, more than 19,000 NPA rebels have surrendered; law and order in the country has improved as shown in the decline of crime volume at 64%; poverty incidence has gone down from 22% to 14% lifting six million Filipinos out of poverty; implementation of the "Anti-Red Tape Act" that has been "weaponized to monitor and prevent corruption in the government".

 

"May mga programang nagpabago sa buhay ng mga Pilipino, at higit sa lahat, patunay ng sinseridad ng Pangulo para itaguyod ang kapakanan ng taumbayan," he said. (EDT/PIA9-Zamboanga del Norte)
