Duterte working on pandemic recovery roadmap – PCOO Sec. Andanar

 By Dominic I. Sanchez

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Sept. 13 (PIA) – Barely a year before his term will end, President Rodrigo Duterte is now working on a “very important roadmap for recovery” to overturn the adverse economic effects of the pandemic, a senior palace official said.

“We need to regain the jobs that were lost, we need to encourage businessmen to invest, and investors’ confidence must be high in order for this to happen,” said Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar during a live interview via 94.1 DXNH-FM Radyo Kasannangan in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi this morning (September 13).

Also included in this plan is the enhancement of the health care system, which has been overwhelmed during the pandemic, he said.

However, the plan would need the support of the stakeholders, especially those involved in the planning process, Secretary Andanar added.

“Government agencies and different sectors of society are involved in this roadmap. We hope that before President Duterte steps down from office, the roadmap will already be in motion,” he said.

The PCOO is currently implementing the Duterte Legacy campaign, which seeks to inform the public about the accomplishments of the administration. “The people need to know about the accomplishments so they will know and avail of new programs and services implemented under the Duterte administration.
