SK Mabuhay calls for sustained health protocol compliance, get inoculated

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Sept 7 (PIA) -- Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Mabuhay town in Zamboanga Sibugay Province encouraged residents to sustain the adherence of minimum health standards as COVID-19 cases in Zamboanga Peninsula region is surging.

“Huwag tayong maging pasaway at panatilihin ang pagsunod sa mga COVID-19 protocols na ipinapatupad ng mga otoridad,” Mabuhay town SK Federation President Robelle Mae Zarate said during the Laging Handa Network Briefing (LHNB) of Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) held online today, September 7.

Zarate shared the SK Federation continued providing relief goods to families who got afflicted in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, including health sanitation kits to every person under monitoring (PUM) in their municipality.

The federation also remains active in disseminating factual information about the COVID-19 vaccines over radio, social media and physical visits to each and every community.

“There are still residents here that are hesitant to accept the COVID-19 vaccines and this is challenging to us but we never stop encouraging them to get inoculated,” she said.

Zarate is also thankful to the Office of Senator Bong Go and other national government agencies for conducting a relief distribution recently that have benefitted more than 2,000 economic front liners of the island municipality, specifically the youth who received tablets, computers, and bicycles, among others.

“These are really a big help to our students and thank you so much for giving them the opportunity to learn as well as to continue their education amidst the global pandemic,” Zarate said. (RVC/EDT/JRA/PIA9-Zamboanga City)
